Precocious Paper on Flickr

It's been on my list of things to do, and now I can finally check it off! Precocious Paper is on Flickr! I have set up an account for the shop, and I have started a group, too.

If you would like to see past and present shop offerings, take a look here (www.flickr.com/photos/precociouspaper). I will be posting albums I've made, scrapbook pages using products I sell, and all sorts of Precocious stuff.

If you would like to upload photos of Precocious Paper purchases in action, please do so here (www.flicker.com/groups/precociouspaper). I would love to see the projects you have made with Precocious Paper embellishments! I would also love to see mini albums and paper bag albums filled with your pictures. I think everyone else would, too! I am constantly inspired by the people around me, and this Flickr group will likely prove to be no different. Prizes will be awarded from time to time, as well. So, upload away!

Have fun creating and posting! Tessa

Scrap This Kit - Precocious Paper Sighting

I'm so pleased to be a part of the July kit at Scrap This Kit. The owner is very sweet and has put together some beautiful kits, for very reasonable prices. Not only did she include my red lace flower embellishment, but also other Etsy sellers, too! Please check out her blog and shop. She also has a great gallery up for inspiration.

Happy Tuesday! Tessa

1000th Sale Celebration!

I've decided how I am going to celebrate my 1000th sale. On the day that I reach that mark, all purchases will be entered into a drawing. What for? A complete refund, including shipping!

And just for my blog readers... During checkout from now through the day of my 1000th sale, enter this code in your "notes to seller" box and you will receive a free gift with your order: 1000PP.

I have some other fun ways to win Precocious Paper goodies coming up - for yourself and for someone you think deserves a present. My birthday is in August, so expect some birthday fun, too!

THANK YOU! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Tessa

I *heart* Cottage Bubbles

I "met" a new Etsy-seller today. Her name is Wendy and her shop is CottageBubbles. She had hearted my shop, so I ventured over to her little corner of Etsy and fell in love.
The first bit of vintage goodness that caught my eye was a pillow sham. Not just any pillow sham, but one made from a tablecloth covered in gorgeous roses. My grandmother just gave me this tablecloth a couple of months ago and it's sitting on my table right now. It' s one of my prized possessions, and it also led me to meet another vintage Etsy seller, but that's another story. Second, I fell for a frame with chippy white paint and a print of yellow roses. Imagine me crossing my hands over my heart and sighing now.
So, I convo'd Wendy. A couple of convo's later and I am the proud owner of a new pillow sham and picture frame, and Wendy will be receiving two dozen of my fabric and felt flowers very soon. She has my flowers in mind as embellishments for totes and stockings. I can't wait to see her creations! And I have her vintage lovelies in mind for my scrap room. They will fit in perfectly!
So anyway, there was my happy Etsy day. How was yours? Tessa

Nearing a milestone...

Wow. I am looking at my shop site today and I realize that I have more than 900 sales. When I opened my Etsy shop in February 2008, all I hoped for was 100 sales in my first year. Now I am approaching ten times the century mark, and my heart is full. I love being a part of this creative community on Etsy, and my Etsy family has been good to me. Thank you so much!

So how should I celebrate? How do I say thank you to all of my amazing customers? Any ideas? I have a few. Let me think about it and I'll get back to you. And if you have any ideas, I really would like to hear. Comment below or convo me over at Etsy.

THANK YOU! Love, Tessa

Sneak Peek - Yummy Fabrics!

Here is a sneak peek of some of the fabrics I will be using in my fabric and felt flowers in the next few weeks. I'm so excited!

Thinking out loud...

I love to write. I love to see things in print or my own handwriting. I could never use a PDA (is that even the right acronym?) because if I don't physically write it, I won't remember it. The only problem with this is that I can't share thoughts jotted down in my Etsy notebook with my blog readers. So, today, I am thinking out loud - so to speak - here on the blog.

I just came from the post office where I dropped off several packages, many including my new bouquets of flowers. Can I just say, even though I love my children more than my own life, I hate going to the post office with them. Is summer vacation over yet? We also stopped at the local craft store. As small as it is, it is still very sweet, and I bought a new set of fabrics that I will introduce into my shop as a flower bouquet this week. Look for "Fresh Squeezed" soon!

I hope your Independence Day was safe and fun! The 4th of July brought my Grand Re-opening specials to an end, and I have winners to announce! AnnaAhrensNZ won free shipping on her next order, shelleyjg won a 25% off one item coupon, jkomaiko won a $10.00 gift certificate, and magoudy won an embellishment kit (I sent off one of my new bouquets). Congratulations!

Currently, all of my clearance items are shipping for free! My studio is also our guest room, and after having my awesome sisters stay for the past two weeks made me realize that I could organize a little better, and that includes reducing a little inventory. Please help!

I'm also organizing my virtual shelves. I am revamping my listings for fabric and felt flowers. Each listing will allow you to choose "pointed" or "rounded" petals. That way my shop isn't so crowded with duplicates of the same fabric, and hopefully your shopping experience will be a little smoother.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday! Happy shopping, Tessa

Blog Feature and New Listings!

Thanks to http://www.thepeachtreebrooklyn.com/ for featuring me on your blog! She searched "fireworks" on Etsy and found my red, white, and blue dyed cardboard flower embellishments. Great blog, by the way.

If I don't blog again before the fourth, Happy Independence Day! Juy 4th is not only my favorite holiday, but also the last day to be entered into my grand re-opening drawings. Good luck!

I've started selling bouquets of coordinating fabric and felt flowers in my shop. Please take a look!

Have a wonderful, safe, and happy weekend! Tessa
