Planner Dividers - We R Memory Keepers

Hello, hello! Today on the We R Memory Keepers blog I am sharing a planner project with the new Tab Punch Board. This tool can make file folders, dividers, and any other tabbed thing you can think of! I made dividers for my personal size planner:

You can read all about the papers, embellishments, and the washi tape pocket card on the WRMK blog. Here, we're going to get into how to make this fantastic tool work its magic on personal sized pages.

The Tab Punch Board has all the markings you need to make tabbed pages that measure in full inches. It's easy to follow, and all the thinking is done for you. However, personal size planner pages are 6.75 x 3.75 inches. That little quarter of an inch can throw off a series of tabbed pages, making them off center. That may still work for some, but the perfectionist in me can't have that ;). So, I experimented and came up with a "hack" for making the tool work for any size page.

Basically, I marked my tool with a Sharpie marker where the center of a small, medium and large tab would be in relation to the punch on the tool. Simply mark your paper (any size) where you want the center of a tab to be, and these marks allow you to line up properly. You have to do a little math to know where to put the marks on your paper, but it's not hard. In fact, I've already done the measurements for a personal size planner for you!

Just right click and save.

This Week in my Planner - Scrapbook Circle

Hello friends! I'm sharing this week in my planner on the Scrapbook Circle blog today. I had so much fun working with the Plan On It add-on last month that I decided to use the You + Me add-on this month to decorate more planner pages:

The add-on includes the adorable Thickers from the Paige Evans/Pink Paislee Fancy Free line, as well as super cute pleather bows by We R Memory Keepers and clear acetate words and shapes by Jillibean Soup.

I made planner clips from the bows, as well as a piece of flair from the main kit.

I also used stickers from the other add-on and patterned paper from the main kit.

April Planner Pages - Scrapbook Circle

I am SO excited! Did you know that Scrapbook Circle has a planner kit this month? It's called Plan On It and you can find it here. I used it to decorate the monthly spread and first two weeks (so far!) of the April pages in my Webster's Pages Color Crush personal:


I've been reluctant to abandon my more utilitarian planner for a decorated planner because I didn't think I would be able to organize all the important information that I needed to write down among all the stickers and washi tape. I finally took a good look at my planning habits and realized that I wasn't sitting down and really using my boring planner like I imagined I was. Also, when I did devote time to thoroughly completing weekly plans, I got really stressed out.

I came to the conclusion that psychologically, the decorated planner might actually work better for me. I would enjoy the process of decorating, which would encourage me to plan regularly. Plus, the format of the planner didn't have me detailing every hour of every day, and that would help me avoid unnecessary stress.

So, I've been experimenting with the Scrapbook Circle planner kit and my new Color Crush and guess what? I'm enjoying the process - excited about planning, even! - and I'm not stressing. I will continue to fine-tune and polish my process of filling out the weeks, but this is working for me and I'm happy about it :).

September Memory Planner Pages - SRM Stickers

Hello! I'm saving the "how I finally gave in and became a planner girl" story for another post, but I have to say - I finally stopped resisting and I am so glad. Today I'm sharing my September pages from my Heidi Swapp Memory Planner.

This planner is reserved for my "Thirty-Four Things" project. I realize I still need to post that here, but I enjoyed my "Thirty-three Things" project so much that I decided to do it again. These birthday resolutions have helped me focus on what I need to work on, and the planner helps me to document my progress from day to day.

Every day I write something specific to that day that goes along with one of my goals. Sometimes it's recording how I was cognizant of a goal while we were enjoying family time. Sometimes it's how I took a step towards accomplishing a goal. Sometimes it's encouraging myself to work on something specific. And then I decorate it with pretty stuff.

After completing the first month, I am really excited to keep going all year long. I used the Heidi Swapp Memory Planner accessories for the month of September. I also used washi tape, a few other stickers, and some other Heidi Swapp product. My favorite addition to the "kit" I worked from is my stash of SRM Stickers.

I love SRM's stickers because they have clear backings. You can cut them up and layer them over other things. From sticker stitches to seasonal themes to huge numbers, I used SRM on every single page.
