The Studio and SNR

Happy Tuesday!  I wanted to share my page for this week's challenge at The Studio, which is to create a page without a title.  I looked through the last 50 or so layouts I've made and could only find a couple without titles.  I tend to struggle with titles, so it felt good to have permission not to include one.  Here is my take:

I love how my eyes go straight to the photo.  The design team did a fabulous job (as usual!), although some of us really liked the challenge and some of us had a hard time :).

I hope you can join us.  With the busy-ness of December beginning to overwhelm us, I think creating a layout with one less element could be very do-able!

I also wanted to let you know that my Featured Artist article is up at Scrapbook News and Review!  I worked very hard on the samples and would love for you to take a look.

Have a great day! Tessa

Calling all Attitude of Gratitude Players...

Can you believe that only a couple days are left in my Attitude of Gratitude challenge? Where has this month gone?  As I look back, I feel blessed, enlightened, happier, more hopeful, and energized in my lifelong journey to become a better person.  How do you feel?  What are your thoughts as this project comes to a close?

I am planning to dedicate a special post to my final thoughts on this challenge, including photos of my finished gratitude journal and announcing the winner of a $25.00 gift certificate to my shop.  If you have played along, please remember to link me to your posts here.  I am very interested to hear what you have to say after participating, even if it wasn't on a daily basis.  Please email me your thoughts, and with your permission, I'd like to share them here on the blog - precociouspaper (at) yahoo (dot) com.  Please send your emails and link your posts by Saturday night.  I will publish my post and announce our winner on Sunday.

Today I'm grateful for this life that I have been given - the experiences that are mine to grow and learn from, the joys and the sorrows that I have been blessed with, free agency that allows me to make my own choices, and the eyes to see that I am perfectly fine as me.

Before you go, I have some fun news :).  Precocious Paper is being featured in the December/January issue of Ready, Set, Create!  I really enjoyed doing the interview and cannot wait to read about it.  Take a look at this cover - that's a Precocious Paper Sewing Pattern Petals bloom!

Also, I will be the featured artist at Scrapbook News and Review on December 6th.  I won't give any hints, but I will tell you that I worked very hard and this is what my scraptable looked like when I was done creating samples:

Have a wonderful Monday, all!  Tessa

Designer Friday

Happy Friday! I have two beautiful projects to share with you from the very talented Heidi.  First, this gorgeous layout:

Heidi used flocked My Mind's Eye paper and a new set of Sewing Pattern Petals (in the shop soon!).  I love the precious photograph and the little pops of red in the hearts.  Heidi also made this incredible decor piece:

She used eighteen Precocious Paper flowers, including Orange Bridal Satin Blossoms, Black Lace Flowers, the Halloween Bouquet, and the Halloween Rolled Fabric Flowers.  Even though several of these are part of Halloween sets, I love how the colors transition with the holidays to a sophisticated fall feel.  Heidi created a tutorial for this project at Scrapbook News and Review (a fabulous online scrapbook mag with a fantastic newsletter).  Heidi will be posting the tutorial to her blog soon.

As part of my Attitude of Gratitude challenge, several of the design team members are playing along, and on their Designer Fridays they will be sharing with you here, too.  Heidi said, "I feel very thankful to be living the life I am right now.  I have two beautiful, healthy, bright children and an amazing husband who (mostly) quietly puts up with my crafting obsession.  We have a supportive extended family that is close-by and always willing to play dress-up and Legos for hours on end.  And I have discovered a hobby that feeds my craving for creativity and have made so many wonderful, inspiring friends as a result.  It doesn't get much better, in the grand scheme of things, than this."

I must say I'm grateful for Heidi and all that she has done for me - inspiring me, sharing ideas, and creating these fabulous projects.  Thank you, Heidi!  Today (and truly everyday) I'm grateful for my husband.  I've been struggling to fill a large order because of a major supply shipment getting lost and not arriving on time.  Between that and the regular daily stresses of life, including my wonderfully rambunctious three boys, I was stressed out last night.  He made dinner, corralled the boys, and calmed me down.  Thank you, honey.

If you'd like to see even more beautiful Precocious Paper projects today, stop by Amanda and Mandie's blogs.  And stop by Heidi's to read more about her projects, including the story behind her layout.

Did you think I forgot?  I have to announce the winner from October's Designer Friday Giveaway Day.  Drumroll please.......... Vicki!  Vicki, email me with your info and I'll get a little goody bag out to you :).

Have a great day! Tessa
