Happy December! Wow, I can't believe we are in the final stretch of 2011. I have two layouts to share with you today, both for new challenges. I know December is a crazy time of year, but we would love to see you play along at both sites. First up, Sketchy Thursdays:
Here's the sketch:
The row of photos on the left made me think of the Photobooth app photos that Jaxon and I take when we have some time to kill, so I went to my iPhone and picked out a set to use for the layout. I love taking pictures with him - he is such a goof!
I had fun mixing bits and pieces: patterned papers from the scrap drawer, tape, bingo pieces and brads, tags....
If you'd like to play along, you can find all the details here. There's a new challenge starting today at Scrapbook Circle - A Year in Review. The challenge is to create a layout that looks back over 2011. I chose to take a non-photo approach and created a rolodex-style page, inspired by the index cards in December's kit:
You can find more photos of my layout and all the details for playing along here. There's a Christmas kit up for grabs :). Before I go, I wanted to mention a few other things to keep in mind. Miss Art's Take 2 classes start today! These are two-minute mini classes that feature awesome projects and fabulous manufacturers, so if you haven't signed up over there yet, now is a great time! Also, Precocious Paper is looking for a new design team :). Details here. If you participated in Attitude of Gratitude, be sure to see this post.
Have a great day! Tessa

Precocious Paper Design Team Call
Would YOU like the opportunity to receive Precocious Paper product in exchange for sharing your creations and talent with us? I am now accepting applications for the January - June 2012 design team. I am looking for designers who are happy to create a range of projects - layouts, cards, altered items, hair accessories, etc. If you are interested, please email me with the following information:
1. Your name and contact information.
2. A little bit about yourself.
3. Links to your blog and gallery.
4. Your scrappy/crafty resume, including current responsibilities (past DT experience is not necessary).
And I'd love to know your answers to these questions:
1. What is your favorite Precocious Paper product and why?
2. How would your contribution to the Precocious Paper design team be special?
Every other month you will receive the monthly Sampler and be required to create at least three projects with it. During the other months you will receive a smaller batch of product and be required to create at least one project with it. You will also receive a discount code for additional product.
I'm excited to see fresh faces and I welcome applications from past guest designers and current DT members. The call will remain open through December 10th. Designers chosen for the team will be contacted by the 15th. I look forward to receiving your application! Tessa

Designer Friday
I'm a little bit teary because, as the current design team term comes to an end, today is the last Designer Friday for Windy and Suzy. I hope you will take a moment to leave them some love for all of their beautiful and inspiring creations over the past six months.
Windy created a set of gorgeous cards using the new GCD line, Funhouse, and two items coming to the shop during the upcoming update: Light Gold and Coral Satin Blossoms:
Suzy created a really fun layout with Cupcake Poppies in blue and red. Mixed with the Block Party line by BoBunny, the poppies look like they were made for this collection:
If you're interested in joining the next team, see the call details here. Have a wonderful Friday! Tessa
