Accessorizing

Hello! I hope your weekend is going well so far :). I thought I would pop in with a post about some accessories I've been making lately.

A couple of Sundays ago I wanted to wear one of my really long necklaces, the kind you loop around your neck twice for a layered effect. I struggle with this necklace because Jaxon likes to pull on it when he sits on my lap, and I'm constantly adjusting it.  If only I could clip the necklace in place somehow, I thought. Cue lightbulb moment. I went to my scrapbook room and whipped up a little flower clip. It kept my necklace in place perfectly and was a great pop of color to add to my cardi and dress.

I recently had the opportunity to make hair clips for two lovely flower girls in an upcoming wedding. Their dresses are ivory and champagne and the wedding accent colors are lime green and orange - so pretty!

If you are interested, I do take custom orders for hair clips, head bands, brooches, etc. Just send me an email or convo me through Etsy.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Tessa

3000 Reasons to Smile

Whoo hoo!  My little Etsy shop, Precocious Paper, has reached 3000 sales!  I could not be happier!  I am enormously grateful for all the blessings Precocious Paper has brought my way, including my wonderful customers.  Let's celebrate, shall we?  All purchases completed this week (through August 2nd) will be entered into a drawing for a $30.00 gift certificate!

I'm also excited to share with you a custom project that I've been working on.  From time to time I am commissioned to create scrapbook layouts for sweet people, and recently Lyndi asked me to document her little girl's first birthday.  Her party was bumble bee-themed, so little hand-stamped/glittered/flocked bees dance across each page.  I kept the color scheme the same for all the layouts (taken from Brooklynn's adorable party dress), but made each page unique with different embellishments.  I apologize for kind of wonky photos.  I had to take them super fast before heading to the post office :).

I also made a title page for Brooklynn's baby album that included her birth announcement.

That was a fun project!  Now I need to get to creating, shipping, and working on another custom layout project :).  Have a great day, everyone! Tessa

Happy News and Colorful Projects

Have you noticed the newest blinkie in my sidebar?  I enjoyed playing along at Scrap That Poetry so much that I decided to apply for the design team - and I was asked to join!  We will be holding a blog hop this weekend - Valentine's Day themed - so that you can get to know us better.  Stay tuned!

Also, I wanted to share a custom order with you.  A sweet customer asked me to make some photo albums for her.  I used to make and sell these all the time, but took a break to focus on embellishments and paper bag albums.  I was more than happy to make some more per her requests.  They are simple photo albums for 4x6 photos with customizable covers.  I added scrapbook papers, hand-written sentiments, die-cuts, dimensional stickers, and rhinestones, as well as pretty ribbons to the spines.  I handmade the camera embellishment from a digital image, chipboard, and Diamond Glaze.

Please stop by later this week for a tutorial, new items for the shop, and of course, that blog hop!  Tessa
