I am thrilled to be staying on for another term at Sketchy Thursdays! Several girls from the last DT have now been joined by many other very talented designers, and I am excited to be a part of it :). You can read the announcement here. There's a new sketch up today, too.
I think this is one I will go back to again and again. I love how simple and versatile it is:
My mother-in-law gave me a whole bunch of big paper doilies, in all kinds of shapes, and I was happy to find a circle large enough in scale for the page. Thanks, Mom!
You can find all the details for playing along at Sketchy Thursdays here. I also have a layout up at Scrapbook Circle today. Our current challenge is to use a number on a layout, inspired by the "playbook" paper in the September kit. Here is my take:
Jaxon's game face just cracks me up. He's my little football player :). Look out, his tackle is tough for a 2 year old! Anyone can join the challenge, club member or not, so head on over for all the details.
And speaking of the September Kit, I get to give one away!!! Crate Paper Random, Amy Tangerine...it's a fabulous kit!
The kit is called "The Good Life", so I want to hear your tip for cultivating a good life. Leave your idea in a comment on this post by Sunday night and I will announce a winner on Monday. Good luck!
Have a great Thursday, everyone! Tessa
Congrats Tessa!!! You do amazing work so I'm not at all surprised that they'd waant you for another term. ;)

Love the pics, especially that adorably tough game face. My tip would be manage other people expectations of you. If you manage their expectations to what you can do/get done/want done then you are in charge and will not feel overwhelmed, left out or behind (on most occassions) and this usually leads to happier you and a happier life. Also, keep friend and family close, they are what makes it all worth it (it my opinion) :) Congrats on another term.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! Thanks for a chance to win that awesome kit, too!
ReplyDeleteOoops, I hit the submit too quick: to cultivate a good life, you need balance! and don't forget to take some time for yourself!
ReplyDeleteI LOVEEEEEE your page and I am sooo happy to see some of my faves are staying on at ST!! Tips for cultivating the perfect life???
ReplyDeleteI think the moment that you realize that you can not control everything around you.....others bad decisions or behavior or rudeness, and the big problems that come your way.....if it is something you can change by all means make the effort to change....but we are too often banging our heads against the wall trying to change things and people that just are the way they are....does that make sense? When you let it go and give it to God a oeace will fall over you and life is soooooooooooo much sweeter!!!
Oh....and thanks for a chance to win....you had me getting all Dr Phil-billy there :P
Great LOS! I love the game face also! SO precious! Hmmm...tip for the good life?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the simple things in life...the smile/or game face of a child, the softness of a cat's fur...the arms of your loved one wrapped around you while you cuddle and watch tv. ;) (just a few I have experienced recently.)
SO excited for you Tessa! these layouts are GORGEOUS love both of them!

well of course they want your to stay on, your work is FABULOUS!! What a yummy kit you're giving away, thanks for the chance! My tip for cultivating the good life is to always leave the weekends free for fun- we have a strict "no chores" rule in our house, and that goes for mom and dad too- life's too short, and so is the weekend, so live it up!!

ReplyDeleteHummm, as for a good life;
"It is not living that matters, but living rightly."
Socrates
It's all good that I have the freedom to choose how to 'live rightly'

thanks for the chance to win such a great kit.... as for my tip to a good life... life is too short for bad moods so when I find I'm in a funk.... I think of all the wonderful things I have in my life... I smile... and CHOOSE to change my funky mood to a happy one... it works every time... why go through life with a frown when you can smile, laugh and enjoy life.... because life really is good!!!
