Featured on the Front Page of Etsy!

I just clicked over to Craft Cult to check out my Etsy stats and was pleasantly surprised to see that I had been featured on the front page of Etsy last week! Thanks to NotoriousKnits for putting together such a beautiful treasury and for including me!

Have a great Tuesday! Tessa

New items coming soon!

On my vacation I was able to do some scrappy shopping, and now I am very excited to get creating. Among my favorite things are a couple new lines from K and Company that I will be using for cards and paper bag albums. Daydreams (full of fanciful icons), Citronella (very cute and bright summery designs), Greenhouse (flowers, birds, and garden-themed images), and a beautiful shabby rose set of papers. I also got a new edge punch, a couple new fabrics, and more twinkling H2O paints. I'm feeling very creative!

Have a great weekend everyone! Tessa

Vacation Dates and a few Precocious Picks

I don't travel that often, which is why I am so excited to be leaving on a trip tomorrow. I will be away for almost a week: June 17th - 22nd. In my other life I was a dance teacher, and when a new addition to our family and a new job for my husband called us to another state, we moved away before the dance year was finished. This weekend is the annual showcase, and my students have paid for my ticket to fly out for one last show. Needless to say, I am very excited!

Precocious Paper will stay open during this time. I will check in daily to answer convos and relist items, but I probably won't be as quick to respond as I normally am. My last shipping date this week is the 17th - on the way to the airport I'll visit the post office. The next shipping date will be the 23rd, when I return. I will answer requests for custom items during this time and be able to list special orders, but I will not be able to begin work on them until I get home.

Since I probably won't be blogging during this time, here are several items from my favorites right now. The aprons are from Boojiboo on Etsy. I have a few of her aprons already. She is amazing, her customer service is great, and I love wearing her aprons. The white pillow with green circles is from thelittlestitch. This shop features quite a few beautiful pillows in nature themes and patchwork. The ruffle pillow, which if I ever bought it would make me so happy and be a true guilty pleasure, is from LemonTreeStudio. Her shop is eye candy to visit, and she also has a vintage sister-shop that I just bought a pretty blanket from (maybe I'll blog that later).

See you soon and have a wonderful day! Tessa

Treasury Nod

If you know me, you know my favorite holiday is Independence Day, the 4th of July. That's one of the reasons I am so honored to be a part of this patriotic treasury. Take a look - but beware, you might want to barbeque and watch fireworks tonight!

The Yart Sale is going strong! Many people so far have received free shipping and great deals on scrapbook pages and other scrappy goodies. If you haven't been by yet, please come check it out.

Precocious Purchase

Somehow while we were unpacking the moving van, the ironing board cover ripped. No tears were shed, as the cover was beat up and really quite ugly. Plus, it gave me a reason to buy a new one on Etsy! My living room/dining room is all red, white, and blue Americana, so I went with this adorable red cover with big white polka dots. The cover even matches my new Precocious Paper designs. I love it. The quality is top-notch and I love ironing on it (even though I don't like ironing, unless it's new fabric for my Etsy shop). I got it here.

Have a wonderful day! Tessa

Show and Tell

I love the way these two albums turned out, so I have to do a little show and tell here on the blog. First, my "Yum" album. Perfect for recipes, photos of family and friends around the dinner table, and super cute. It's listed for sale in my shop here.

Second, a custom order for a lovely customer - "My Girl." When I finished this one, I started wondering when we might have another baby (fingers crossed for a girl). I hope she really loves this album.

Please let me know if you would like a custom album! You can contact me here (leave a comment) or on Etsy (send me a convo). I would love to make one for you, and I am now accepting custom orders again.

Have a great day everyone, Tessa

Yart Sale, here I come!

I was just telling my husband that we should try to have a yard sale this weekend. I know that not a lot of people like putting on yard sales, but I do! I think it is a fun way to meet neighbors and pass on things you don't need anymore. Not to mention pocket a little bit of change! But it's rainy here, and unless the weather dramatically changes, I don't think it will happen. But that's okay, because Etsy is gearing up for a yard sale of their own!

June 10th - 14th will be the second annual "Yart Sale", sponsored by the ESST (Etsy Supplies Street Team). You can read about it here. And in case you are wondering if that's a typo, Yard + Art = Yart. I've decided to participate this year. I'm still working out the details about what kind of sales I'll be offering, but I promise it will be worth a visit to my shop. I'm thinking some free shipping and some good discounts. I'll post my specials before the sale starts, so you can do some window shopping :).

Have a great day everyone! Tessa

Toot! Toot! for a fellow Etsian

One of the scrappy mags I subscribe to is Memory Makers. I was flipping through the July/August issue today after pulling it from the mailbox, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that one of the articles featured Etsy! It's always fun to see the talented artists on Etsy (and their shops) mentioned or featured in the scrapbooking magazines. One Etsian that I have shopped before was named: aimoobaroo. She makes really fun fabric covered buttons that can be made into brads or tacks, too. Congrats Aimee!
