Proud

Happy Thursday!  We have a new sketch up at Sketchy Thursdays!  I decided to scrap about my son Colten's experience of finding and returning Grandma Cop's badge.  I know I shared this story here once before, but for those who weren't around, he found the badge on the playground at school.  His teacher and friends couldn't find an owner, so Colten held onto it.  When Grandma Cop visited his classroom after recess, he realized her badge was missing and promptly returned it.  She was so impressed with his honesty that the next day she held a little impromptu awards ceremony in his classroom and gave him a special framed certificate.  I was really glad that the school called me and invited me to be there.  I was (am!) so proud of him.

Here is the sketch:

I am loving making my own journaling lines lately.  And I finally got my hands on some Mr. Huey white mist.  I'm learning (the hard way) that it dries much slower than Glimmer Mist.  I made a sentiment from the Everyday Boy sheet of stickers by SRM guide my title.  I love the look of mixed type.

Head on over to the Sketchy Thursdays blog for all the details, including a $20.00 gift certificate for a fabulous scrapbooking kit!  I'll be back tomorrow with a special Precocious Paper Designer Friday and the start of the Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop.  Enjoy your day! Tessa
