I have several fabrics "hearted" right now, and these are some that I picked up today on Etsy. See them soon in flowers and other Precocious things soon!
I love the Amy Butler Full Moon Polka Dot fabrics, and since they have been discontinued, I decided to pick some up.
I really like how sophisticated this Anna Griffin fabric is. I'm sure it will make lovely flowers.
I'm really excited about this collection, and not just because it is called Dance With Me (for those who don't know, I am a dance teacher, too!).
And by popular request from you, my lovely customers...
I think these are going to be so very pretty!
Have a great Monday! Tessa

Whoo Hoo!
This past week has been amazing - after taking a break almost two months long, I reopened shop on Monday with 604 sales. Today, just this morning, I hit 700 sales! I feel really blessed to have so many wonderful customers. Thank you!
Coming up this week, I will be listing a new mini album in a style that I haven't offered before - and if no one buys it, that's okay, because I secretly really want to keep it! Also, I have a few more fabric and felt flower designs that I will be listing (oldies but goodies). Look out for "Yum", my cooking-themed paper bag album (again, I might just keep this one). I plan to make a couple other paper bag albums this week, too.
If you have any requests for colors or fabrics for embellishments, please let me know. I will be making a fabric order this week sometime, and your input is always valued!
Have a wonderful day! Tessa

Precocious Picks
Now that Precocious Paper is open for business again, I've been getting a lot more "hearts". I like to visit the shops of people who heart me, and the other shops they have hearted, and I have fallen in love with two new finds. First, JujaCrafts. She makes beautiful organza and satin blossoms for applique, brooches, hair clips, and headbands. This is my favorite accessory in my "favorites" right now. ♥♥♥♥Update♥♥♥: This headband is now mine! And she's making more colors, including a cherry one and a turquiose one that I'm going to get my hands on!
Second, Scrap Shoppe. She has very pretty collections of trims and ribbons for sale at very reasonable prices, as well as vintage things and great inspiration kits. This set of lace trims is my favorite right now.
If you've seen something on Etsy that you love, leave a comment and let me know.
Have a good weekend, everyone! Tessa

Open for Business (Again)!
Well, the shop is open! I'm listing as quickly as I possibly can, but between Memorial Day celebrating and a broken power cord to my laptop, I'm a bit slower than I'd like to be. I am excited to be back and even got butterflies when I had my first sale this morning :).
If you are reading this, I have a special for you: during checkout, type "blog lover" in the message to seller. You will receive a free little gift with your order - one of my precocious embellishments. It could be a dyed cardboard flower, a fabric and felt flower, a few precocious petals, a lace and felt flower, or a painted cardboard flower. This special will go through July 4th.
Happy Memorial Day! Tessa

Sneak Peek #3
I've decided to start filling my virtual shelves a little earlier than planned, so Precocious Paper will officially re-open tomorrow, Memorial Day! I'll begin listing things in the morning and the stocking will continue for quite some time. I will be offering some specials to celebrate, so check my storefront and this blog soon for details. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek at more cards I have to offer, as well as a new line of tiny tags on rings with ribbons. Enjoy!
Happy Etsy-ing! Tessa

sugarelli rocks!
I love this Etsy seller - sugarelli. She is the one who took a picture I drew with a Sharpie on computer printer paper and made it into the banner you see above, banners and avatars for my Etsy shop, and even business cards, stickers, and sticky notes. She was wonderfully easy to work with, and super quick to respond to convos/emails. She was really helpful when the blog banner wasn't fitting quite right. All it took was a pretty please and she was right on top of it like magic. If you need any help with any graphic designing, please check out her shop. She even does invitations and announcements, too. Thank you, sugarelli! You're the best!
Sneak Peek
Hello all! I am excited for my upcoming Grand Re-opening! In anticipation, I have a great designer working on fantastic graphics for my shop, blog, and packaging. I've been gathering supplies. I've been working a few hours a day on making new things and am really enjoying watching my inventory grow. Want a sneak peek? Here are some of the giant paperclips I've been working on: 4" tall, fabric flowers, designer brad centers, chipboard backs covered in designer scrapbook paper, and packaged on a sheet of designer scrapbook paper sealed in a cello envelope. Super cute! Now I need to decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell!
Stay tuned for more sneak peeks! Have a great day! Tessa

Precocious Purchase
Jaxon's legwarmers arrived! I've had this Etsy shop (knottybabywear) "hearted" since before he was born because I wanted to pick up some of her adorable legwarmers. Stripes, zigzags, argyle - all too cute! And so practical - when I am changing him, all I have to do is unsnap the onesie. I don't have to take pants off and put pants back on! Besides being super cute, they will grow with him for a long time. He also got black and white stripes and a blue argyle pair. Maybe someday I'll post pictures of him sporting those, too!
Have a great day! Tessa

Precocious Picks
Every week, perhaps on a certain day at some point, I would like to highlight some of my favorite things on Etsy. It's such a great community of wonderful people and sellers, and there are so many talented artists with amazing things for sale. Here are two things I have my eye on right now.
You may know that I have started a collection of aprons. I have around 10 right now, and I look forward to buying and making many more in the future. Why? I have no idea, but I love that vintage-homemaking-goddess feel I get when I wear one. Right now my favorite apron for sale on Etsy is a double-layer, lemon print half apron by spicerakdesigns. I don't own any half aprons yet, so this could be the first!

Today I happened upon a fantastic shop that was featured in the front page treasury on Etsy.com: shabbyvintagemom. I am now officially in love with an aqua blue, vintage magnet board! I think it is beyond adorable. Is my birthday coming up? Not soon enough. I've already marked several things as favorites in this shop. Check it out if you have a chance, but leave my magnet board alone.
Hopefully this weekly show-n-tell will inspire you to go "heart" some of your favorites!
Happy shopping! Tessa

Hello!
My Grand Re-Opening of Precocious Paper, found on Etsy.com, is fast approaching, and one of the things I wanted to accomplish before that happened was to set up a new blog. So, here it is! I have in mind a really cool blog designer that I will be asking for help soon, so this template won't last long, but this will be the place for all things Precocious.
Have a beautiful day! Tessa
