First Sketchy Thursday of 2011

Yay, it's Thursday! And Sketchy Thursdays is back from the holidays with another fabulous sketch.  I created a layout about my brother, Garrick, using photos from our Elzea Family photo shoot in December.

I like to "man up" a page by using metal accents.  I've had these frames and hinges in my stash for years, so I was happy to use them.  I also got to use more of my SRM Stickers that I received for being the August guest designer.  I love those things :).

I had a lot to say, so I made the photograph on the left hinge open to reveal hidden journaling.  Carson (my 6 year old) saw it and said, "Now that is really cool, Mom."  Haha!  I love that kid :).

Here is the sketch:

Guess who is sponsoring?  None other than Nikki Sivils!  Head on over to the blog to check out the rest of the design team's layouts and the prize.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!  Have a great day, Tessa
